Photography Up North
Gary resides in the small Northern Michigan community of Lewiston and works full time in the log home industry as General Manager of The Woodworkers Shoppe in Comins, MI. In his spare time he takes advantage of his love and passion for the outdoors and photography whenever he gets a chance. Northern Michigan provides the backdrop for his artwork and is home to many varieties of local and migrating birds as well as the abundant wildlife which captivate most of Gary's photographic time.
Lewiston Lodge
The Lewiston Lodge was built in the mid 1920's. Originally a private resort with six rooms in the main restaurant building it was then called the Gassell Lodge. In the early 1930's small cabins were built on premise around the main building. When Prohibition was lifted in the 1930's the restaurant and rooms were opened. Weekly/nightly rentals were provided along with cooking and room services. Now with 14 rooms, a restaurant and many additions and updates the Lewiston Lodge is a Four Season Resort on the south side of East Twin Lake in Lewiston, Michigan.

Heart-Healthy cooking begins with Fry-On, the all vegetable shortening that contains no cholesterol and is low in saturated fat. We are proud to use this blend of canola and corn oil when preparing fried foods. If you are not delighted with any dish we prepare, please let us know – your feedback is very important. Redwood Steakhouse
The Redwood Steak House first opened its doors on April 22, 1958. Bill & Elda Butski built the restaurant and operated it seasonally from Trout Season in the spring through Firearms Deer Season in the fall. We are glad you came to Lewiston and the Redwood. Lewiston Sportsmen's League
The Lewiston Sportsmen’s League, 120 Acre site, a former ski club is an outstanding sports facility. The Sporting Clays Course offers 14 stations with 28 automatic traps, 25′ and 35′ towers and elevated shooting platforms. The Archery Course offers approximately 12 life size 3D targets and elevated shooting platforms. The Clays and Archery courses take the shooters along winding and rolling trails, up wooded hillsides that offer some great scenic views, occasionally overlooking wildlife on the hills and valleys where eagles soar overhead.

Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools is a public school district located in JOHANNESBURG, MI. It has 700 students in grades K-12. Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools provide some of the finest educational opportunities that can be found anywhere in Northern Michigan. We pride ourselves on having a full range of challenging college preparatory courses such as chemistry, physics, advanced placement, mathematics, French 1 and II, Spanish I and II, CAD (computer aided design), language arts and social studies. Other classes that can provide a student with basic job skills would include woodworking, building trades, drafting I and II, computer programming, computer literacy, typing and various business oriented courses. In the fine arts area, we are proud of our award-winning band and arts programs.
